This course is designed to give the student an
understanding of the research and theories of death, dying, and the bereavement
process, as well as the development and impact of a Christian understanding/eschatology
for both the patient and loved ones in these processes. Hospice, palliative
care, ethics, and euthanasia are discussed, as well as cross-cultural beliefs
that come to bear on these phenomena.
