This course investigates the various models and frameworks used to design, build, and evaluate cloud infrastructures. This will address numerous methods in use to both construct cloud environments and evaluate cloud security, based on a purpose-driven analysis. Cloud storage, database, web, and other uses, require security controls that are specific to their respective function. It is important to determine access scope and requirements before applying security controls. Academic, professional, and contemporary publications will be used for discussion and problem solving scenarios.

This course requires the creation of an Amazon (c) Elastic Cloud account. During the course, we will build a free Amazon cloud server, install a webserver, configure a free domain name, and install a free SSL server certificate.
